I find this app very user unfriendly. Very little is intuitive. I enter with the intention of changing my watering schedule and there is no guidance to change schedule, make new schedule, adjust old schedule. I can get the quick run to operate, but that is about it. I have to poke around on everything hoping to find the options I want, but what a waste of time! Very poorly designed app. I like the system when it operates, but the phone app sucks!

Used to be a great app. For one, it now takes forever for the app to open and sometimes just sits there with a blank screen. Secondly, like others have mentioned, I've had to disable my water skip because my grass was burning out. Overall still a good controller but the app has definitely degraded from where it once was. Why change something that was working good?!

overall great, but there are some quirks where it looks like an option should be available but you can't get to the details except through one specific way. For example you have to hit play on the home page, select all zones, then enter times for each to get them to queue. If you go into one zone detail page and hit play, then go into another, you can't add it to queue, it stops the first and replaces which zone you are running.

The Rachio controller has changed my watering experience in a big way. Easy setup, easy to use. Well designed app, but needs another option for your preset watering schedules. They need to add the ability to temporarily increase your watering budget on a schedule by percentage. For example an allowance to increase the scheduled time by 10%, 20%, or whatever. My old analog control had that option. Very convienent. Hopefully that might come in the future. Add that and you'll get 5 stars.

there's no other way to do irrigation. the money you save in watering is enough to pay for itself altogether, let alone the cost difference between this and other more basic units. in 20 years you probably won't be allowed to NOT have a smart irrigation box like this one, in California at least. great product. I never have connectivity issues and it's mounted on far side of house away from wifi router. app is easy to use and communicates just the right amount of information.

Was great till they "fixed" something that wasn't broken. The ability to manually run a schedule that used to be on the home page is now gone. I have been unable to find that capability anywhere in the app. Can we get the old version back please? Edit: Apparently the ability to do manual runs disappears when you put the controller in standby. Each winter I put the controller in standby and run it manually as necessary. The old version allowed this, the new one does not.
