  • I finally found out how to connect to the geo. I made sure the unit was mounted on its base, although that isn't necessary for setting schedules. I also found you had to make sure you reconnected the phone to an active internet connection. The instructions don't really tell you any of that. The unit is still very hard on batteries. I don't have a c wire nor a convenient wall plug. But now that it is connected it is really quite useful. I recommend the unit.

  • I have used the product and former app for 2 years. Minimal issues. I can't stand the new app. It goes offline frequently. I also miss the widget I used on my phone. No widget option with the "new and improved" app. I purchased the Lux Geo because it doesn't require a "C" wire. Unfortunately, if the app continues to malfunction, I will be forced to look for a replacement product.

  • Unbelievable! This thermostat and app has worked for me for over a year without issue. Now after this update I can't connect to my thermostat. Right in time for me to start needing the heat. Why couldn't you update your app in the summer when there was time to iron out the bugs. Edit: this app has started working somewhat. It seems I've finally got my thermostats schedule running again after way too much time. Edit: The thermostat stopped working again. I woke up this morning to the heat OFF.

  • I had to update my review. The app still works and gives me no problems when used on any of my family smartphones. The issue I have is that the new format in the app is not as user friendly for one thing. Also no matter what I do Alexa commands no longer work to control the temperature. This feature worked for several years with no problems. All of a sudden after recent updates it just wont work. I have uninstalled the app, removed the skill and re-added to Alexa, nothing works.

  • The old version worked so much better. The app is constantly telling me that the firmware in my thermostat is updating. When I make changes it they either don't take or the app autonomously switch them back. I tried turning the temp down in heat mode and it turned my thermostat into cooling mode, it's 32 degrees outside in MN and it's supposed to snow. I don't think I need the air conditioning on. Please bring back the old app version, it was way more user friendly and reliable!

  • The updates have disabled the radius geofencing feature. I have high accuracy GPS enabled, but the radius set up keeps asking me to set GPS tracking to high accuracy. 01/22/21 update: After initial connection to my Lux Geo, the app indicates my Lux Geo is updating firmware and offline, not True. The changes by JCI to this app have only been detrimental. It no longer functions consistently, if at all. Go back to the original Lux app and trash this one. It's horrible.
